What does Laura love about she does?

I like to help people no matter whether they want to get in better shape or whether they are suffering with a chronic illness like Lyme’s or Parkinson’s. I like to serve as a guide, coach, and cheerleader to their own self-healing by offering treatments, knowledge, and insight. At one point, there was little availability to help people with chronic illness or pain and through my own path of self-learning and study, I am now able to help people through a wide variety of methods.

What does Laura do in her free time?

I spend a lot of time studying up and learning about different illnesses, methods, and treatments to expand my knowledge and insight to better help my clients. I also enjoy painting and cooking classes and going to music concerts and dance performances.

Joan Bullings

Joan is a certified Lymphatic Enhancement Technician at the studio.  Joan is a dental hygienist who started coming to Your Pilates Place after a sports injury.  Through Lymphatic Enhancement, she greatly reduced the swelling and pain of her torn meniscus and realized that she wanted to become trained so she could offer it to others.  Physical health and wellbeing has been a priority in Joan’s life for over 25 years as a four-time marathoner and participant in Spartan Trifecta Races. This level of commitment and enthusiasm is reflected in her work at Your Pilates Place.

Education, Credentials, Certifications:

Helping people with their health has always been a part of my life. I enjoy assisting others to get to know their own bodies more and supporting them in living the healthier lifestyle they want to achieve.

Debbie Edds

For most of her career, Debbie had been in the corporate marketing world and co-owned Cabinet Studio, a kitchen design company. After selling her company, she realized that she wanted to help people know about their bodies and how to support them through nutrition. A few months later she enrolled in the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and became a Certified Holistic Health Counselor. While working at Thrive Integrative she was recommended to Your Pilates Place where she experienced significant healing in her own body and then became part of our office studio team!

Education, Credentials, Certifications:

Bowling Green State University, Marketing, Bowling Green, OH, 1977

Certified Holistic Health Counselor, Institute of Integrative Nutrition, New York, 2011

What does Debbie love about what she does?

What I love most about working at the studio is being around the youthful, vital energy.  I learn every day from everyone from new clients to fellow staff members to Laura. It gives me more insight into the body and healing. I think my purpose is to reconnect people to how awesome their bodies and also have awe about their bodies rather than feel frustration. Everyone comes in here with enthusiasm and camaraderie. It’s just a happy and life giving place to be.

What does Debbie do in her free time?

I take long walks with my dogs and also with friends. I like hiking at Hanging Rock and kayaking at Salem Lake. I also love to ride my bike when I can.  Sitting around a camp fire singing and talking to friends is one of my favorite things to do. I try to spend any time I can with my children and now my new granddaughter.
